Pretty Colors

I love the colors this time of year. Everything is so bright and vibrant.

This is the tree in our front yard. It's been looking dead since we moved in so we were quite surprised to see it so beautiful. I love it!

Mikey is getting old so fast. I know he looks like an old man in these pictures, but that's not quite what I'm talking about. He's just so big though....

Monterey

This past weekend we stayed in Salinas with Michael's grandma and we had a really good time. We took Mikey to the aquarium and just enjoyed spending uninterrupted time together.

Mikey was in heaven with all the fish. The seahorse exhibit was the last thing we saw, so he wasn't too interested, but they were cute.

It took a lot to get Mikey to take his eyes off the giant fish tank and look at the camera.

Mikey loved the sharks. They were also his daddy's favorite.

He thought the otters were going to get him they got so close to the glass. They were show-offs.

There were these talking birds outside the restaurant that Mikey thought were pretty cool.

There was a seal on the beach when we were leaving the wharf. It was soaking up the attention and posing. Funny.

We had a really great trip and wish we could do it all the time. We highly recommend the aquarium. Thanks for everything, Grandma!

Easter and Ultrasounds

So, I'm a forgetful mother and didn't take any pictures of Mikey on actual Easter when he was dressed up all nice, but I did get some pictures of him participating in an Easter egg hunt his auntie Sara organized for him on Saturday. He did surprisingly well. He knew just what to do and took home quite the haul. Which Michael and I, of course, appreciated.

We had an ultrasound on Tuesday to check up on our little guy and he's 3 pounds 7 ounces already and still breech, but we have a while for him to turn. I'm a little nervous that he's going to be a giant baby by the time he's ready to come out. They did a 4-D for us and we got a good one of his little, but chubby, face. I think he looks like Mikey. We've gotten mixed opinions. Sorry it's crooked, I scanned it in a hurry.

I can't wait to meet him. We're almost done with the nursery, and we re-did Mikey's room, too, so pictures of that to come whenever we get it finished.
