A Month Between...

I seem to go on blogging spurts, so here's the latest one.

New Years Day we watched Michael play football in the park again. Mikey HAD to wear his football sweatshirt.

Riley had on a football outfit, too, but ended up bundled up and sleeping the whole time.

Riley has NO fear. He loves to sit on Daddy's shoulders and be thrown feet into the air. Laughs and laughs and laughs. Funny kid.

This is what he looks like after every meal.

My sister Andrea and her family invited us to the Science Museum with them shortly after the New Year. We put the younger babies in my sisters strollers. They were the best babies all day.

The older kids got my stroller. These are funny cousins.

Mikey loved all the things to see. It was really nice of them to take us.

Riley's way of playing with his table. He knows how to pull himself up, it's just easier this way. And he doesn't fall down after.

We had a couple days of snow. No sticking.

Mikey watching the snow.

We had a fun family home evening with a Ratatoullie night. Mikey didn't eat the food, but thought it was a fun night anyway.

Riley loving his baths

Mikey in the bath. What I get when I say "smile big" Ha Ha

I made this Valentines Countdown for Michael and I and it's fun so far. Really recommend it. I found it on Love Actually, one of my favorite new blogs with GREAT date ideas.

Reunited Readers

So, I haven't got a lot of feedback on the whole book club idea, but I decided the month is wasting away, so I'm starting a book anyway. I would love to have as many people as are interested to join me.

Here's the website:

www.reunitedreaders.blogspot.com

Let's get reunited in old and new friends lives and find that excuse to see each other or talk!

Just A Thought...

I love to read. That may even be an understatement. That is how much I love to read. I have been reading quite a bit lately and even though I enjoy it, it is always more fun to talk about books with others.

In college we had a book club. Some of my blog followers were founding members. I think we had a great time. So here's my question to anyone who reads this...

Do you want to be in a book club with me?
The idea is still new and depending on the response, the concept will change.

I thought we could pick a book and put it on a blog. We all lead busy lives, so we would have one month to read the book. Then we could meet online and chat or meet with other members in our area for an actual meeting. We could take turns picking the book and hosting the meeting.

Let me know your thoughts!

Dear Sleep

Dear Sleep,

Where are you? I haven't seen you in a while. I'm not doing so hot without you. I'm cranky, my head hurts, I can't think straight. My husband is getting jealous that I talk about you so much.

I know my kids can can cry at night and chase you away, and my huge to-do-lists don't help either, but I can't deny it any longer.

I need you.

Please come back around.

Tara

Candyman

I went to get Riley a diaper and while I was gone, Mikey decided to be nice and share.
Riley was SO happy....until I took it away

Christmas Cookies

My sister is always organizing fun things for our kids to do. This week they frosted sugar cookies. They were infitesimally better than last year and only ate some of them during the process

Best Friends

Mikey and Riley are so funny. They have such a bond as brothers that is fun to watch.

They just sit there and laugh at each other...

Mikey won't take a bath without his flexible brother

It's his favorite time of day

Love my boys...(don't ya love the creative cover up? : ) )

Jingle Bell and Elf Run

Our family decided to participate in the local Jingle Bell 5K and 1K Elf Run this year. I only started running three weeks before, so it was harder than I thought, but I didn't walk once and I will definitely beat my time next year. Mikey even ran his little half mile race without walking. It was a fun day.

Mikey got to meet Santa. Probably his only time this year...can't you tell how happy he was?

Michael and I before we ran...

After the race....

Mikey at the starting line. He was definitely the youngest one there.

Riley's First Haircut

Riley, unlike Mikey, doesn't have a lot of hair. So, we kept putting off the haircut. But, it kept getting longer and longer and my husband said he reminded him of Einstein. Today I took the plunge and snipped it off.
Here's the before....

Here's a couple afters....
You can't really tell he has hair in the pictures, like I said, he doesn't have a lot. But in person he looks like a grown up baby boy. 7 months already...where does the time go?
