All Better

Mikey has had the flu the past four days. We're talking no sleep, all screams and tons of puking and 102 degree fevers. Luckily yesterday he took a three hour nap and today he is back to his normal mischevious self. Gotta love it.

Credit Card Commercial

So, I know this may sound weird, or corny, depending on who you are, but sometimes I feel like I live in one of those credit card commercials. You know the ones where they say: doing laundry once a week: $20. Washing your car: $10. Eating dinner: $15. Friendship: Priceless. We have come across some very good friends here in Mesa and we feel very blessed. They help us in our lack of acceptable laundry facilities and come at a moments notice to give a blessing to our son who is puking and has a fever of 102. We definitely get way more out of this friendship and REALLY appreciate them. You know who you are, thanks and we owe you big time!

Happy Easter

New Things...

While everyone was visiting, they helped Mikey learn some new tricks. Sorry about the shaky video, but here is Mikey clapping and waving all in 20 seconds. He never ceases to amaze me with what he can learn.

Mikey and Elizabeth

This is Mikey's adorable cousin Elizabeth. They were so nice to come for the weekend and Mikey had so much fun playing with a friend.
Right when Elizabeth got here he wanted to be her friend.

The took baths together...

Fought over wheat puffs....

Elizabeth tried to braid Mikey's hair...

Thanks for coming guys!

Emporer Mikey's New Clothes

Another perk to having grandparents in town is they spoil my son.
Usually Mikey crawls around like this, because he is growing out of all his clothes and we have yet to buy him summer clothes...

This is the stash the grandparents bought him so he can go out in public again! Thanks guys!

Turleys and Overs in Mesa

My parents and sister, Alyssa, came to visit this last week. Andrea, Jon and baby Elizabeth came for the weekend. It was SO nice to have family around and Mikey loved cuddling up to and showing off for everyone. He woke up this morning going around the house looking for everyone and thinking they were playing hide and seek. We miss you guys already!

Grampy Turley and Mikey

Grampy Turley and Mikey on the slide...right before he cried....

These pajamas were Michaels when he was a baby...just thought it was cute!

You can't see my mom's face (sorry!) but this just shows how happy she makes her little grandbaby.

We took Mikey on his usual walks

Alyssa and Mikey watching TV...he never cuddles like that for ME!

Part of the family just hanging out

While they were here, my super crafty mother helped us make an Easter craft.

My mom probably could've done a better job, but I am pretty proud of it!

Laughing

This video was so hillarious that I HAD to add it on the blog. Believe it or not, this was the end of a 1/2 hour of this. I kept thinking he'd stop, but he didn't. This isn't even as hard as he was laughing. Enjoy and, as always, pause my music : )

Anniversary Date

Michael surpised me with a day off from work and a date. His cousin watched Mikey for a couple hours and we went miniature golfing, played air-hockey and ate at delicious IN-N-OUT. It was such a nice date and an even better day to spend it as a family.
Our first time eating at the IN-N-OUT in Arizona. It didn't disappoint.
If you are ever in Mesa, this place is so fun. There are a ton more things to do than miniature golf too.
This is me golfing horribly, I lost by 9 points.

This is Michael golfing well, I had no doubt he would win.
There wasn't a lot of people around to take our picture since it was the middle of the work day but we did manage to find an elderly man as asked him for the favor. He looked like he was trying to say no, so we asked him if we should ask someone else. He said, "I really wish you would" and then walked away. There wasn't anyone else so here are the results of our amazing picture taking abilities. What a funny man!
Not enough Michael...

Not enough Tara....
Good enough I guess. Sorry about the big cheesy shot. That's us...happily married for two years and planning on forever!

2 Years and Counting....

Yup! We've been married two years. Everyday I can't believe the life that I have been blessed with. Everyday keeps getting better and better.

Peek-A-Boo

Mikey has always enjoyed a good game of Peek-A-Boo. A while ago, he learned how to play it himself, and I finally got it on video.
