Halloween Memories

Not unlike other mothers, I have been getting ready for Halloween. I've decorated my house and I got Mikey his costume. But I just can't get one thing off my mind. Kissing my handsome husband. You read it right. Two years ago, this Halloween, we shared our first kiss. I knew then that I would spend forever with this Halloween Hottie and I married him four months later. It was the most romantic Halloween of my life. I definitely recommend some Spook Night Smooching! (I love you Sweetie!)

The kissing continues...

Aaah, eternity : )

My Little Missionary

I know, three posts in three days....but look at this cutie!

I hope they call me on a mission, when I have grown a foot or two! (Or three or four : )

Like Father Like Son

I was going through Mikey's things and I realized that he has these really cute Adidas shoes. He's not supposed to be able to fit them until he's about a year, but, I looked at them today and they fit him. So I wanted to make sure he wore them before he grew out of them. Michael was going to play basketball today and he had his Adidas on too. It was a cute picture of my boys! (Excuse our unmade bed : )
Those Creel boys and their feet!

Hobbies and Habits

Mikey discovered a few things this past week. He loves to sit in his bouncer now, which saves us a lot of time we used to hold him. Also, he woke up on Sunday and wouldn't put his tongue in his mouth. It is the funniest thing! I used to do the same thing when I was teething so maybe this is just another addition to the constant drooling and hopefully he'll get some teeth soon!

He also likes to play with the basketball. It is so cute. It may be a coincidence, but he always changes the television channel to basketball too. You can bet his daddy is happy about that!

First Child Picture Syndrome

If there is such a disease as First Child Picture Syndrome, I definitely have it. I can't take enough pictures of Mikey...and I can't stop sharing them! My next children are going to feel neglected. Here are just some cute pictures of what Mikey and I have been up to these past few days.

Mikey chews on everything, but he loves my red water bottle.

Mikey was so cute in his Adidas warmups...he has big feet just like his daddy!

Mikey just started liking being on his stomach. He can roll over now and I sware he wants to crawl!

We've been letting Mikey practice standing up (with supervision of course). He wants to walk and crawl so bad, he's just not old enough. He is a strong kid, though. He can balance against a table until he gets so excited he jerks backward.

We give him the remote control to focus on so he doesn't pull back. (Sorry the picture is a little fuzzy.)

After all these fun and games, and now that Mommy and Daddy are letting Mikey cry through the night (hardest thing ever!), Mikey gets so exhausted! Here he is on our bed, ready to fall asleep....

Here's a totally different day when he actually did fall asleep. Poor little guy!

So these are the mundane going ons of our lives. We enjoy it though. Mikey is so fun to be around. Thanks for supporting my picture taking addiction. Have a great weekend!

Motherhood

Last night as I was rocking Mikey to sleep for hours into the night (I'm trying to get him to sleep through the night without waking up to eat by giving him a pacifier instead), I started thinking of my role as a mother. So often it is a crazy mess of running around trying to get things done around his nap and eating schedule. I start thinking if I am capable of raising this child because I get frustrated and I get tired.

And then my baby smiles at me or laughs at my funny faces. And everything changes.

I may not be super mom but I am learning to be Mikey's mom with his help. I am definitely stronger than I was before I had him. I can survive on three hours of sleep. I can be soaked in pee, poop, spit up, drool and boogers and still be okay. Mikey is teaching me endurance and the true meaning of love because I would do anything for that cute smiling face.

Week for Firsts

There were a lot of firsts happening for our family this week: Mikey had his first haircut, his first trip to the park, his first time grabbing and eating his toes. Michael and I started our search for our first home. Life is changing every day...and it is great!

Mikey got in the swings even though it was a little big for him....

And even though my finger got in the way, he was adorable and had a good time!

Ya, another bath shot, but it was the only time I could get a picture of him interested in his feet...I think it is so cute when he discovers things!
This is a picture of one of the houses we are interested in. It's a big decision...any advice would help!

And, we'll end it with a cute picture of my boy. I just can't get enough of him and I hope no one viewing this blog feels differently!

Mikey's First Haircut

So after months of looking like a little vagabond because Mommy let his hair grow out...

Mikey gave me an ultimatum and said, "Mommy, you cut my hair, or else..."

So I grabbed the scissors (he was too squirmy for the clippers) and after a few snips...

Voila! I didn't think he could get any cuter, but he did! And now he's not mad at Mommy anymore : )

Life Goes On

There's not much to post on, life is just going on as normal. We are really loving it here in Arizona. I love spending time with my little baby Mikey. We can't believe it is October already! I will be sure to post when something is actually going on, until then, things are still good!
